HARNESSING THE POWER OF LONDON FOR GLOBAL CLIMATE ACTION
25th June – 3rd July 2022, live in London

What is London Climate action week?

London Climate Action week is harnessing the power of London for global climate action. LCAW is the annual event bringing together world-leading climate professionals and communities across London and beyond to find practical solutions to climate change.

Founded in 2019, LCAW is the largest independent climate change event in Europe.

The climate community will seek the solutions we need at #LCAW2022, in events across four key themes:

Theme 1: Driving Green, Fair and Resilient Climate Transitions

Events that address the policy, financial, technical and political practicalities of delivering rapid emissions reduction, adaptation and resilience in a fair and inclusive way, and how we work together to ensure practical delivery of our commitments to climate action.

Theme 2: The Road to COP27 on Adaptation and Ambition

Events that cover progress on international diplomacy and cooperation towards COP27, particularly on the global adaptation goal, adaptation finance, loss and damage, 2030 nationally determined contribution (NDC) increases, and how COP27 can help address the challenges and opportunities for climate action in Africa.

Theme 3: Whole of Society Climate Mobilisation

Events that reach beyond the usual “climate bubble” to engage with how wider constituencies are taking climate action. Including, but not limited to, communities, education, culture, art, health, sport, food, museums, gardening, institutions, diaspora and more. Events that engage with “what climate change means to me”, exploring the multiple experiences of living in a time of climate change, and responses from people across all communities.

Theme 4: Creating a Sustainable, Net Zero London by 2030

Events engaging Londoners and London-focused organisations in delivery of the Mayor of London’s net zero by 2030 pathway in a fair and inclusive way, and how this goal aligns with other objectives on housing, employment, inclusion, air pollution, sustainable transport, green infrastructure and more.
