Virtual GCF Private Investment for Climate Conference 2020

30th September 2020 by CMIA

Bringing together the public and private sectors to catalyse actions to help developing countries maintain climate ambition in the era of COVID-19.

Save the date: 14-16 October 2020

Join us for the third annual GCF Private Investment for Climate Conference (GPIC) to explore how to generate the private sector investments needed to create bold solutions to deal with the twin challenges of climate change and COVID-19.

Bringing together leading private and public sector actors – including financial institutions, governments, project developers, climate leaders and development banks – this virtual gathering will provide a timely opportunity to share experiences, innovations and best practices for scaling up public-private partnerships.

The conference will be an important link to global policy dialogues, notably the Initiative on Financing for Development in the Era of COVID-19 and Beyond, and the 2021 UN Climate Change Conference (COP 26).

Speakers include CMIA Executive Director Margaret-Ann Splawn who will discuss carbon markets. She will join global investors and industry leaders who will also share their valuable insights on complex questions and issues on climate finance and the important role that private companies play.
