20190613

We’ll be attending the Global NDC Conference in this week. The conference takes place from 12-14 June in Berlin, Germany.

This conference contributes to the implementation and updating of Nationally Determined Contributions (NDCs) in 2019. It aims to inspire and enable policy makers and practitioners to accelerate the pace and scale of transformational change through NDC implementation in order to reach the long-term goals of the Paris Agreement.

In collaboration with CDP we’ll be delivering a workshop on Strengthening NDC ambition and accelerating implementation through private sector engagement and our Executive Director Margaret-Ann Splawn will participate in the opening plenary session on Friday.

Break-out Session

Schedule: Thursday 13 June, 11:00-12:45

Our session on Thursday will be answering one of the three key conference questions: What actions and innovations are driving NDC implementation and advancing sustainable development priorities?

The interactive session connects private sector and public policymaking and will use several case studies to cover the following topics: Disclosure & Transparency, Science-Based Targets and Accelerating Climate Finance

The session will be in collaboration with Jasmine Hyman from E Co Ltd, James Harries from Ricardo, Victor Osu from the Republic of Nigeria, Pietro Bertazzi  from CDP and Gillian Nelson from We Mean Business.
