CMIA is an official Cooperating Organisation of the Nairobi Framework Partnership and our Partners include the Carbon Pricing Leadership Coalition, We Mean Business and Friends of Fossil Fuel Subsidy Reform.
Our Partnership approach and transparency with organisations creates a strong ecosystem of best practice and processes that maximise and impact our membership.
The Nairobi Framework Partnership (NFP) supports developing countries in preparing and implementing their plans to address climate change, called Nationally Determined Contributions (NDCs) under the Paris Climate Change Agreement. The NFP focuses on climate finance, technology transfer, regulatory mechanisms, carbon markets and mechanisms. CMIA pursues the goals of the NFP through initiatives in the form of projects, workshops and forums.
CMIA’s active Private Sector Observer roles at the Green Climate Fund (GCF), the Climate Investment Funds (CIF) through participation at the Forest Investment Program (FIP) and the Forest Carbon Partnership Facility (FCPF) further enhances our network of partners and associations. The CIF and FCPF are held in trust at the World Bank.
