Mr MacGiffin has expertise in voluntary carbon offset standards and trading strategies across environmental finance, including U.S. and international greenhouse gas verified emission reduction (VERs) credits.  He regularly writes and speaks about industry topics, including voluntary carbon market standards, compliance requirements, and U.S. cap-and-trade scheme.

 

He is a Fellow of the Royal Geographical Society and a Friend of the Scott Polar Research Institute, which enables him to pursue his interest in polar exploration, history, and climate change science. He graduated from Coventry University with a degree in business and holds a Post Graduate Diploma in History from the University of Hertfordshire.
